DAY, ANDREW BRIAN
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Andrew “Andy” Brian Day, age 52, who left us on 8 April 2025, in Rio Grande, NJ.
Andy was born on 10 May 1972, in Mount Holy NJ, and spent his formative years in Cape May, NJ developing a profound love for baseball and golf building lifelong friendships.
Beyond his athletic prowess, Andy was a cherished son, brother and friend. He is survived by his parents, Monny and Eleanor Day; his son Collin; and his extended family, including aunts, uncles and cousins who will forever hold him in their hearts. Andy's warmth and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving behind memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.
Andy had a passion for the sea. He spent his entire life surrounded by the sea that he loved so dearly. Andy's passion for the ocean led him to a career as a fishing boat captain, where he skillfully navigated the waters and built lasting friendships with his crew. His dedication to his work and his love for the sea were evident to all who knew him.
His zest for life and ability to find joy in simple moments were qualities that endeared him to his family and friends.
Andy's presence in our lives was a gift, and while we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the impact he had on each of us. He will be remembered not only for his love of the sea but for the love, laughter and kindness he shared. Rest in peace dear Andy. You will forever be missed and eternally cherished.
Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
