CAPE MAY — Relish the crunch of leaves underfoot and enjoy the cool, crisp days of October in Cape May during the Victorian Weekend Crafts & Collectibles Show sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC).
Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate are again transformed into an outdoor marketplace during Cape May’s 42nd annual Victorian Weekend. The Victorian Weekend Crafts & Collectibles Showfeatures crafters and collectibles dealers from throughout the region who will display and sell their wares on the lawn, including Big Bad Dad’s Homemade Jams & Jellies, of Pleasantville, N.J., selling artisan jams, jellies, butters and gourmet flavors; Donna Elias Studios, of Brigantine, N.J., showing her watercolor paintings and prints of local and coastal scenes and subjects; Designs by Maya of Cherry Hill, N.J., with one-of-a-kind jewelry, and much more.
The Carriage House Café & Tearoom on the estate grounds is open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for lunch. Enjoy gracious, yet casual, dining with an a la carte menu that includes signature sandwiches, salads, crab cake and tea sandwiches, as well as homemade soups and quiche, a kids menu, plus an Afternoon Tea Luncheon featuring loose tea service with teas from the House of Tea in Philadelphia.
