Town Hall Session to Focus on Substance Abuse Prevention

VILLAS – A town hall meeting will be held Dec. 3, from 6-7:30 p.m., at Lower Township Municipal Hall, 2600 Bayshore Road. The topic will be substance abuse prevention and available assistance. 

 

According to a release, the event will be presented by the Lower Township Healthy Youth Coalition, a community initiative of Cape Assist.

 

  • Those who attend will learn about substance misuse prevention programs happening throughout the township and the county
  • Find out about the services in place to help residents and their families that are struggling with addiction
  • Talk about what services are still needed going forward

 

A panel of local experts will discuss what Lower Township is doing to tackle substance misuse.

 

A free Narcan training session will be held at 5:30 and 5:50 p.m.

 

The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office’s Hope One Van will be available for tours.
