The Wranglers 4-H Club is a group of kids from the community that participate in community service and various equine activities in Cape May County.
The members of our club are, Annabella Halburner (president) , Kathleen DeGenova (vice president) , Lillian Capone (treasurer), Chole Pinkerton (secretary) and Kate Mihaul and Regan Capone.
This year some of our members participated in activities such as Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse. The members gathered at a local church and filled shoe boxes with gifts and sealed and mailed them to needy children. Without these boxes these children would have no gifts for Christmas.
The Wranglers are also in charge of cleaning up the 4-H Fairgrounds Stalls. We clean out all of the fall leaves and winter twigs so the stalls are ready for the 4-H Fair.
We also attended an Equine Dental Clinic at Kathy Elwell’s Barn. There we learned about the importance of dental hygiene for the horses. We were able to watch as she filed the horses’ teeth down and performed other dental work on them.
Members Kathleen DeGenova, Lily Capone, and Chloe Pinkerton volunteered for Road Clean ups in Dennis Township. There were four total clean-ups, Chloe attended all four, while Kathleen and Lily attended three.
As Wranglers, we are proud for what we stand for and the activities that we are involved in. We take pride in the bonds we have formed with one another and the new friendships we forge with each new event we attend. We are looking forward to the Cape May County 4-H Fair. Our members participate in many events at Fair and we invite you to come see us!
