COURT HOUSE — Cape May County Bar Association announced that Middle Township High School was declared the state champions Thur., March 24 in New Brunswick, beating the defending champion West Morris Mendham High School. Chief Justice Stuart Rabner presided.
The event was the New Jersey State Bar Foundation’s Vincent J. Apruzzese High School Mock Trial Competition.
Middle Township will move on to the national competition in Phoenix, Ariz. on May 5.
The Middle Township High School Team consists of Brandon Adorno, Madison Benzell, Lisa Marriner, Samantha Burkholder, Shelby Smith, James Mallia, Edward Runyon, Ryan Burke, Abdiel Santiago, Alex Casper, Ryan Hildebrandt, Ashley Smutnik and Kaitlin Kenney. The team is headed by Teacher Coaches, Martina Trapani and Joseph Towns, and Attorney Coach, Joseph Pelusi.
