It’s Time to Register for Fall Classes at the Academy of Culinary Arts

MAYS LANDING — If you’ve always loved to cook or are ready to make a career change, it’s time to register for fall 2014 classes at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College. Registration will be offered based on the number of credits earned at the time of registration, beginning April 14, at all Atlantic Cape campuses and online. Credits must have been completed, not be in progress. ACA classes will begin Aug. 25.
Registration hours are weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours to 6:30 p.m., April 14-17 and April 21. Registration begins:
• April 14 for students with at least 48 credits
• April 15 for students with at least 32 credits
• April 16 for students with at least 17 credits
• April 17 for returning students
• April 21 for all students (open registration)

Returning students can register online using WebAdvisor at www.atlantic.edu/webadvisor.
The Academy offers two-year degree programs in culinary arts, baking and pastry, food service management, and specialization programs in hot foods, baking and pastry, and food service management and catering.
ACA students have many opportunities to gain hands-on experience. Some activities include: Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala, Iron Student Chef Competition, American Culinary Federation’s Junior Chefs Competition, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs dinner, Atlantic Cape’s Organic Greenhouse, Strudels Bakeshop, Culinary Student Association, Baking & Pastry Club and food shows.
