HERSHEY, PA – Rachel Seymour, a high school senior from Cape May who attends Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pa., is leading a dinner and informational session April 23 in Cape May to share the growth and education she has experienced at the school.
According to a release, “When I enrolled at Milton Hershey School, it was a life changer,” Seymour said. “It’s what really gave me the confidence to step outside my comfort zone. It’s what helped me become a leader and pushed me to be the best I could be.”
The event will take place April 23 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 101 S. Main St., Court House.
Seymour will share her experiences gaining leadership skills, building supportive relationships, and taking college-level classes at the school.
She will also answer questions from local families who are considering how Milton Hershey School’s education and structured home life could create a brighter future for their children.
“Coming from an impoverished background, I have found the courage to be different and make a change in my life. MHS has provided me with opportunities and skillsets I didn’t think I would ever have in my life,” Seymour added.
The school offers small class sizes, hands-on learning, access to the latest technology, college and career preparation, and the opportunity to accrue scholarships toward continuing education.
The school also provides a positive, nurturing home life year-round, as well as comprehensive health and wellness care, allowing students to focus on themselves and their futures.
Milton Hershey School is a cost-free, private, coeducational school in Hershey, Pa., for children from families of lower income in pre-k through 12th grade.
