County Students Well-Versed at ‘Back Porch” Poetry Reading

By Herald Staff

Students from Cape Educational COMPACT, Cape May County High School and Ocean Academy participated in a yearlong study of poetry.
Through a mini-grant, Poetic Sojourners provided by the Cape May County Education Foundation, teachers engaged students of all ages in both crafting and then sharing creative poetic expressions at the Back Porch Café at Cape May County High School periodically through the school year.
At the last reading of the year, poet Emari Di Giorgio listened to students read their works and then presented her own original poetry to them.
