COURT HOUSE — Atlantic Cape Community College will host a community open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 19, to provide information on degree options, career training and services available at the Cape May County Campus.
Light refreshments will be served and tours of the campus will be offered. Visitors will have an opportunity to win an iPod™ shuffle at drawings at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Winners must be present.
Information about college services such as testing, advisement, counseling, financial aid options and scholarships for new students will be available.
Chefs from ACCC’s Academy of Culinary Arts will present a cooking demonstration of summer desserts at noon.
At 1 p.m., the Continuing Education office will hold a workshop on personal development classes and the career training it offers at the campus.
Additionally, students eligible for the NJ STARS scholarship program can attend an information session at 1 p.m.
Faculty from many of the degree programs ACCC offers will be available throughout the day to answer questions. Representatives from Rutgers University and Fairleigh Dickinson University will also be on hand to discuss transfer options.
Demonstrations of the college’s Web for Students system will be offered at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. The campus library will also feature a display of student artwork. Q-107 will host a live radio remote with giveaways and prizes.
