Academy Sets Spring Open House Programs

By Herald Staff

MAYS LANDING — The Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College will host spring open house programs on Feb. 20, 9 a.m.; March 6, 9 a.m.; April 17, 9 a.m.; April 23, 5 p.m.; and May 8, 9:30 a.m. The open house events are open to anyone who loves to cook and is interested in beginning a culinary career.
The Academy of Culinary Arts offers two-year degree programs in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management and Baking and Pastry, and is accredited by the American Culinary Federation.
Students can also earn a Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry certificate in just three semesters or complete one of four short-term specializations in less than one year. Specialization options include Baking and Pastry, Hot Food, Catering and Food Service Management. Part-time evening classes are available.
Because the ACA is a division of a public institution, it costs considerably less than comparable two year cooking schools. Scholarships, work-study opportunities and financial aid are available, including free tuition through NJ STARS.
To register for an open house, or for more information on the academy, located at 5100 Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing, call 1-800-645-CHEF, or visit atlantic.edu/aca or e-mail accadmit@atlantic.edu.
