Sandman School Students Author Poems for Earth Day Celebration

 COLD SPRING – The fifth and sixth graders at Sandman Consolidated School celebrated April as Poetry Month by penning 97 poems, 33 from sixth graders and 64 from fifth graders.
The contest was held in conjunction with an Earth Day Festival, set for April 27, at the historic Fishing Creek School on Bayshore Road, Villas.
Judges decided to have two fifth graders share first place in their grade.
The accompanying images are the first-place students’ work.
