North Wildwood Hosts Annual Captain Kidd Pirate Day May 20

NORTH WILDWOOD — Ahoy Mateys! The notorious Captain Kidd has escaped, and he’s hidden all of his treasure here, in North Wildwood. The City of North Wildwood would like to proudly announce that we will be holding our Captain Kidd Pirate Day at 26th and the Boardwalk, North Wildwood, NJ 08260, on Sat., May 20, 2017 at 11 a.m.
All children ages 12 & under are invited to wear their best pirate-themed apparel, and participate in our parade. Parade check-in will take place between 10 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for Best Pirate Costume, with costume judging scheduled to take place at 10:45 a.m., and the parade beginning at 11 a.m.
From 26th & the Boardwalk, the parade will commence to 19th & the Beach, where our Treasure Hunt will then take place. Following the Treasure Hunt, a raffle will be held, with prizes including: a $500 gift certificate, bikes, gift certificates, and weekend stays!
So come out, bring all your mateys and help us to find Captain Kidd’s treasure! To register for the Pirate Parade, or for more information, please contact the North Wildwood Recreation Department at 609-522-2955.
