Music for the Marsh, a benefit concert for the Wetlands Institute, will be held at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
The program will feature Lizanne Knott, John Conahan, Suzie Brown and Erik Mitchell from the New York Songwriters Circle. Tickets are $15; call the PAC at 609-463-1924.

Meet some animal champions Aug. 27 and learn about the skills and talents that help animals survive.
Sept. 3, it’s Beaks and Bills for the final program of the summer. It’s all about the diverse world of birds.
Paddle the back bays in a kayak with a guide on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. and Friday at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for a three-hour tour of the coastal marsh ecosystems.
Single and tandem kayaks are available.
Enjoy the sunset while kayaking at dusk as birds head to their roost and wildlife feeds in the marshes. Sunset kayak tours are Thursdays, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Or, head out as the sunsets and the moon rises for am adults-only Full Moon Paddling Sept. 3 and 4, 7 to 10 p.m.
Hooked on Fishing teaches kids how to bait a hook, cast a line, catch the fish, and reel it in Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. through the summer. Great for all ages and free with admission.
Salt Marsh Safaris begin at the Marsh View Hall with the award-winning film, Secrets of the Salt Marsh.
Then it’s off along the salt marsh trails for a guided, interpretive walk of the wetlands. The trail can be muddy, so be prepared!
Safaris are weekdays through the summer at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. and on weekends at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. They’re free with admission.
