OCEAN CITY – The results of the 2019 Miss Crustacean Pageant, which was held at the Ocean City Sports and Civic Center Aug. 14 were announced Aug. 15 in a city release.
Miss Crustacean Commercial First Place – The Fisherman’s Cover
Miss Crustacean First Place – Crabs Got Talent, The Rufo Family from Collegeville, Pa.
Second Place – Crustice League, The Viola Family from Middletown, Del.
Third Place – Crabby in Wonderland, Ainsley Matuson from Egg Harbor Township.
Honorable Mention – Crab’tin Hook, Maya Hagan from Egg Harbor Township.
Hermit Crab Races Championship Heat
First Place – “Taffy” with a time of 32 seconds (Owner: Tom Viola from Middletown, Del.)
Second Place – “Joey” (Owner: Olivia Voss from Brookeville, Md.)
Third Place – “ Fisherman’s Cover” (Owner: Olivia Kemenosh from Ocean City.)
There was a tie for third place in the final heat which resulted in a race off for third place.
