MIDDLE TOWNSHIP – Commencement ceremonies at Middle Township’s Performing Arts Center this spring represent a wide range of educational accomplishments, from preschoolers to college students.
Joining the diverse group of graduates this year are some 90 nursing students from Atlantic Cape Community College, who, May 17, at 5 p.m., will be given pins signifying their completion of an Associate Degree in Applied Science. It will be the nurses’ first commencement ceremony at The PAC.
Meanwhile, the much younger group of four and five year olds from Elementary School #1 will mark the end of pre-school with ceremonies at The PAC on Thursday, June 1, at 9:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. They will be awarded certificates in recognition of their early education achievements.
An early start to the commencement series occurred April 24, when 34 graduates of the Cape May County Police Academy were honored for having successfully completed the 50th basic course for class two special law enforcement officers. They will be working in Avalon, North Wildwood, Wildwood, Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Stone Harbor, as well as out of the county in Elk Township and Margate.
The series at The PAC concludes at 4 p.m. June 15, when the township’s Middle School students, age 13-14, hold their commencement ceremony.
