Career in Cape May County Sheriff’s Office
I began my career in law enforcement with the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office in 1984 as a corrections officer. After graduating from the Cape May County Police Academy in 1987, I worked my way to Chief Sheriff’s Officer and in 2010 became the Undersheriff.
Qualified Experience
I have served in the K-9 Unit, Court Security Unit, Warrant and Fugitive Unit, was Sergeant from 2001-2003, was Lieutenant from 2003-2005, Captain from 2005-2009, Chief in 2010, and for the last seven years I have served as Undersheriff for Cape May County. Being Undersheriff, I have overseen the law enforcement division as well as actively managed and participated in all civil functions of the Sheriff’s Office. I also preside over Sheriff’s sales involving foreclosure of real and personal property; as well as the Cape May County Animal Shelter – which was recently designated a “No Kill” shelter, thanks to the great team of employees and administration cooperative effort.

I have dedicated my career to protecting the citizens of Cape May County for 33 years. I genuinely care about this community and making sure Cape May County is a safe and secure place to raise our families. As a career law enforcement officer and leader, I understand the importance of establishing and maintaining a positive work culture, where employee productivity and morale can flourish. Through my leadership, I hope to inspire trust and cooperation inside and outside of the Sheriff’s office.
