Marine Mammal Stranding Center Reports Busy Seal Season

Seal prepares to return to the sea after spending time at the Marine Mammal Stranding Center

By Press Release

BRIGANTINE – The Marine Mammal Stranding Center is in the midst of a very busy seal season and are receiving calls daily about animals up on beaches in Cape May County and other areas.
According to a release, the management of the center asks the public to respectfully view any animals they encounter from a safe distance and
call the center at (609) 266-0538  to report the sighting.
The center always wants to make sure the animal does not need their assistance and would much rather get 20 calls about a single animal than none at all.
The seals at the center are doing well and one-by-one, they are healing and getting ready to head back home to the ocean where they belong.
