Hunt for treasure with Captain Kidd

By On Deck Staff

The adventurous Captain Kidd has set sail for ‘Historic’ Cape May in hopes of arriving on Sunday, Aug. 2 for the 46th Annual Cape May Captain Kidd Treasure Hunt to be held on the beaches of the nation’s oldest seashore resort.
All youngsters 3-10 years of age are invited to rendezvous with Captain Will Kidd promptly at 1 p.m. at Cape May Convention Hall.
Youngsters will follow Captain Kidd to the buried treasure sight between Windsor and Congress Avenue beaches where approximately $150 worth of booty and gift certificates valued at $300 will be discovered by some lucky treasure seekers.
Based on the increasing popularity of this exciting event City officials anticipate that over 300 boys and girls will participate this year.
It is indeed a sight to behold when the Captain Kidd leads his young band of followers as they journey along Victorian Cape May’s new beachfront and promenade in search of the elusive treasure.
