Stone Harbor Lions Club Plans Fundraisers

STONE HARBOR- The Stone Harbor Lions have set an ambitious agenda of fundraisers for this summer.
Club President Henry Harrison has announced the following schedule:
➢ Stone Harbor Lions 50/50 Raffle. $5.00 per ticket. Drawing to be held Saturday August 29 at 5 p.m. at the Women’s Civic Club, 96th Street, Stone Harbor. Tickets sold throughout the summer from any member, or call Carol Fiore at 609-465-1602.
➢ Stone Harbor Lions First Annual Chicken BBQ. Take out catered by Rode Chicken BBQ. Saturday August 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., 80th Street and Third Ave for $13. Tickets available from any member, or call Kathleen Ackley at 609-368-2448.
➢ 21st Annual Stone Harbor Lions 10K/5K Runs and 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Sunday August 30 at 8 a.m. on 96th Street. Register on line at www.active.com or at the Women’s Civic Club Saturday August 29 at 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or Sunday August 30 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Call Ed Einhaus at 609-412-6957 for race and sponsorship info.
The Stone Harbor Lions support a number of charities and organizations in Cape May County including Volunteers In Medicine, The Love of Linda Cancer Fund, Holy Redeemer Hospice and Caring for Kids.
“The needs of those We Serve are magnified during these difficult economic times” said Harrison.
“The Stone Harbor Lions are committed to meeting these needs, and in doing so, offering events which are fun for our residents, visitors and members.”
He said the club is grateful and looks forward to the continuing support from the community and its local sponsors.
Stone Harbor Lions meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month.
