EDWARD S. ALTMAN, 83, of Brick, formerly of Ocean City, April 5, 2006. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a sculptor, kitchen designer, and Eucharistic Minister and lector at St. Augustine’s Church.
RAYMOND M. BURKE JR., 85, of Court House, April 5, 2006. A lifelong area resident, he was a Navy veteran of World War II. After the war, he joined his father’s automobile dealership, which bears the family name, and oversaw its expansion in Wildwood and Court House. He was active in civic affairs.
MATTIE I. FERGUSON, 87, of Erma, April 7, 2006. She was a member of the Blind Center of the Jersey Cape at Crest Haven.
JAMES G. GARRISON, 62, of Woodbine, April 3, 2006.
ANNA LANDIS-GILLHAM, 90, of North Cape May, April 4, 2006. She was employed as a clerk for Penn Fruit Co. for 20 years prior to living here.
SCOTT W. MCGONIGLE, 65, of Fishing Creek, April 8, 2006. He was a lifelong county resident, a public accountant and outdoor writer.
DOROTHY S. HILES, 74, of Steelmantown, April 6, 2006. She worked at Stainton’s Department Store, Ocean City as personnel manager, and recently for Holy Redeemer Hospice, Swainton.
WILLIAM PENNOCK RANKIN, 85, of Ocean City, April 5, 2006. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and manufacturing representative for Clisby Association for 40 years prior to retirement.
JACOB RAVITZ, 99, of Voorhees, formerly of Manahawkin, April 7, 2006. He was the father of Joseph Ravitz, Middle Township assessor. He owned a furniture company that bore his name. He was a World War II Army veteran.
MARIE D. (nee MACK) STAGEMYER, 90, of Cape May, April 3, 2006. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church and Victorian Towers Tenants Assn.
ELIZABETH W. TILLER, 91, of North Cape May, April 4, 2006.
ROBERT WESLEY TOZER, 38, of Rio Grande, formerly of South Seaville.
ERNEST L. “Louie” XAVIER, 45, of Villas, April 5, 2006. A lifelong area resident, he was a graduate of Lower Cape May Regional High School employed by Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital.
LEDA L. (nee CAFFO), YACHETTI, 80, of Ocean City, April 6, 2006. She was a retired Pennsylvania Railroad clerk.
