Locals Helping Displaced in Egg Harbor Township

VILLAS – A group of residents from North Cape May and Villas want to assist others in need in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, in particular Egg Harbor Township, where 350 residents have been displaced from their homes.
Lower Township Manager Michael Voll said non-perishable food, canned goods, etc., as well as blankets and clothing will be accepted at Villas Firehouse on Bayshore Road, Nov. 3 from noon until 5 p.m.
Items needed are soup, canned vegetables, brownies, cookies,packaged desserts,coffee, butter, shaving cream, razors and deodorant.
Candy bags for children would be appreciated.
