SWAINTON — “Boo at the Zoo” drew upwards of 400 to the Cape May County Park and Zoo on Oct. 20.
Balmy weather with bright sunshine helped make the event seem like a summer weekend.
Amid the children’s games and activities throughout the day, there were songs by Nancy Cochran of Ocean View, as well as her puppet interaction with children.
Samantha Shaw, zoo education assistant, gave brief educational animal lectures for youngsters, many of them in Halloween costume.

For choo-choo loving children, the park’s own toy train carried smiling children around the main field and playground.
What Halloween festival would be complete without pumpkin painting? That took place, too, at Boo at the Zoo, under the auspices of Parks Director Mike Laffey and staff.
