RIO GRANDE — Bids are continuing to be accepted for a brand new, Ibanez electric guitar autographed by the Doobie Brothers (Tom Johnston, Pat Simmons John McFee, Guy Allison Michael Hossack and Marc Russo.) Funds raised by the auction will benefit the Forgotten Warriors Vietnam Museum at Cape May County Airport.
In addition the black, glossy guitar was autographed by Roger McGuinn, a founder, singer and lead guitarist of The Byrds and John Sebastian, singer, songwriter and guitarist of The Lovin’ Spoonful.
The guitar auction is a fund raiser for the non-profit Forgotten Warriors Vietnam Museum, which is constructing a building at the county airport complex.
Bids may be submitted by a link in this story or by mailing or taking bids to the museum at 629 Forrestal Road, across from Naval Air Station in Rio Grande.
Bids will be opened by the museum on Aug. 1 with the highest bidder awarded the guitar.
