NORTH WILDWOOD — The city was filled with screaming fire sirens June 21 as member of Anglesea Fire Co. No. 1, housed their 2008 Pierce Ladder truck.
A parade wound its way throughout North Wildwood then, the serious business of officially housing the new apparatus took place at noon. Many visiting area fire departments sent trucks to represent them in the age-old tradition of firefighters.
Mayor Bill Henfey presented City Council’s congratulatory plaque to President Paul DiFillippo, Batallion Chief Walt Larcombe and Senior Member Bob McCullion.
A State Senate proclamation honoring the housing was presented by Assemblyman Matt Milan, and Sen. Jeff Van Drew, (both D-1st) to DiFillippo.
