Donohue is Using Middle Township Social Media to Promote Political Agenda

Middle Township Mayor Tim Donohue used the official Middle Township Facebook page to promote the candidacy of Republican Jim Norris.
The Facebook post included a picture of Norris with an invitation to attend a political gathering for the campaigning candidate. Township Committeeman Michael Clark is charging Donohue with violating township policy for using the township’s property to promote his political agenda.
“Not only does it break township rules, I suspect it violates state ethics regarding elected officials using public property for political purposes. It may also violate campaign elect restrictions,” said Clark.
Clark is calling on the Township Solicitor Marcus Caravan to investigate the violation and recommend an appropriate penalty for the ethical infraction.
“King Donohue will stop at nothing to get Norris elected, even if it means using community assets. The Mayor’s actions clearly show abuse of public office and sends a message of what we can expect if Jim Norris is elected to township committee,” Clark concluded.
The reason you need to re-elect Mike Clark is simple. To quote Clark, “Holding public office specifically demands higher standards.”
Paid for by Michael Clark for Middle Township Committee, 211 Bay Berry Suite 2A, Court House, NJ 08210.
