DAV Department Installs New Line Officers

TRENTON – During its 95th Annual convention, the Disabled American Veterans Department of New Jersey held elections and installed a new slate of line officers for the 2017-2018 year.
The newly elected officers are: Commander Frank Vignola, Hazlet NJ, Sr Vice Commander Gordon Lee Payne, Williamstown NJ, 1st Jr Vice Fred Smith, North Brunswick NJ, Adjutant Johnnie Walker, Villas NJ, Treasurer Earl Courter, Delran NJ, 2nd Jr Vice Leonard Long, 3rd Jr Vice Phil Martir, Chief Inspector Walter Applegate, Chaplin Yvonne Jackson, Sergeant at Arms Kathy Kukel and Officer of the Day Jim Keyser.
Line officers are charged with the development and implementation of the Strategic Goals Initiative; which Is the vision of the future, achieved through a Veterans community outreach process and implemented with each DAV Chapter throughout the state of New Jersey.
Disabled American Veterans Department of NJ through its 43 chapters and it 19,000 members serves the Veterans community and is dedicated to a single purpose:
Fulling our promises to the men and women who served.
NJ DAV does this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them, assisting with employment, fight for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.
