The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 5-8, to register for a six-week workshop hosted by Cape May County’s 4-H Foundation. The programs will be held at 5:30 p.m. every Wed., starting Oct. 8 and will take place at the Lower Cape Branch library, located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Children, ages 5-8, are invited to a six week workshop hosted by Cape May County’s 4-H Foundation. Each week, there will be hands-on activities to introduce children to the 4-H Youth Development Program. There are only 10 spaces available, please register by calling (609) 465-5115.

County Library Hosts Family Movies:
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 6-12, and their families to attend our Family Movie program. A screening of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone will be held at 6:00 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Main Branch of the Library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House. A second screening will be held at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Lower Cape Branch of the Library, located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Kids, ages 6-12, and their families are invited to watch the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on our big screen with surround sound! Watch the movie, enjoy snacks and drinks, and relax for free at your library! (P.S. Don’t forget to join us Oct. 29 at 6:00 p.m. at the Court House Library for our Harry Potter Halloween Party!) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is rated PG.

The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 4 and up, to a Glow in the Dark Storytime. The program will be held at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30. The program will take place at the Lower Cape Branch of the Library, located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
We are turning the lights out for this storytime! Children, ages 4 and up, are in for a treat as we share glowing stories, puppet shows and a craft. Please note: While the room will not be pitch black, it will be dark for the majority of the program.

The Cape May County Library invites families to a Homeschool Social to be held at 1:00 p.m. Oct. 10. The program will take place at the Main Branch of the library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street.
Join us for our annual Homeschool Open House! This year the focus will be on books. Learn what’s new in the collection and maybe find a new favorite book. This will be a hands on event for families. There will be snacks and time for socializing.

The Cape May County Library invites families to a Homeschool Social to be held at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 17. The program will take place at the Lower Cape Branch library, located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
The Lower Cape Library invites all families in the area who homeschool their children to a monthly social. Each month, we will explore a different subject area with stories and activities for the children. We will also provide books for further reading, and demonstrate databases and internet sources which you can access from your home computer. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with other families who homeschool and explore the library’s vast resources.

County Library Hosts Harry Potter Halloween Party:
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 6-12, and their families to attend a Harry Potter Halloween Party. This event will take place at 6 p.m. Oct. 29. The party will be held at the Main Branch of the Library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Young witches and wizards (ages 6-12) and their families are invited to attend a Halloween Party at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry! Come dressed as your favorite character from the Harry Potter series for an evening of games, crafts, trivia, treats, and more. We will also be featuring creepy critters from the NJ Nature Center.

County Library Hosts LEGO Club:
The Cape May County Library invites children ages 5 to 12 years old and their caregivers to attend our LEGO Clubs. LEGO Club will be held at four of the library’s branches throughout September.
In order to develop a theme for each meeting, we’ll read books to get ideas about what to construct and then bring out the LEGOs and build, build, build! Parents are encouraged to stay through the meetings and build with their kids.

The Cape May County Library invites children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers to attend a “Preschool Dance Party.” The Preschool Dance Party will take place Oct. 6 at 10:00 a.m. at the Main Branch located at 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
Children are invited to show off their amazing dance moves! The librarians will be playing some of the hippest tunes for the kids and teaching some awesome dance moves.

County Library Hosts Pumpkin Hay Ride:
The Cape May County Library invites children and their families to join us for a Pumpkin Hay Ride. The program will be held at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Lower Cape Branch of the Library, located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Adults and children alike are welcome to celebrate the best parts of autumn with us as we take a hay ride through a local pumpkin patch. We will meet at the Lower Library for a short presentation on pumpkins and other fall squash, then drive the short distance to Les Rae’s Farm at the beanery for a hay ride, after which patrons will be able to choose a pumpkin in the field to take home. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all patrons must register beforehand.

The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 10-18, to join us for Rainbow Loom Club. The program will be held at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 14. It will take place at the Lower Cape Branch of the Library located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Learn new patterns for the Rainbow Loom and meet with friends at the Rainbow Loom Club, a monthly meeting for ages 10-18. Jennifer Bolton will be on hand to teach a new style every month. Bring your own loom and bands, or use ours.

The Cape May County Library invites tweens, ages 10-14, to join us for Tween Game Days. This event will take place at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 23. The event will be held at the Lower Cape Branch of the Library located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Tweens, ages 10-14, are invited to the Lower Cape Library to play board games, card games, and Wii games. Snacks will be served.

County Library Hosts Youth Yoga:
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 7-12 to a series of Youth Yoga sessions to be held at 3:30 p.m. every Thurs. in Oct. The programs will take place at the Lower Cape Branch library, located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Kids ages 7-12 are invited to come to the Lower Cape Library and join Tammy, a certified children’s yoga instructor for 5 sessions of yoga for youth. This class will explore the practice of yoga by learning basic postures, breathing techniques, learning the art of movement and of being still. Feel free to bring a yoga mat and wear loose fitted clothing that allows for movement.
