Child Find Program Seeks to Improve Educational Opportunities for Children

COURT HOUSE – Child Find is a community-wide effort to provide improved educational opportunities for preschool disabled children and is being organized in the Middle Township Public School District. Parents, educators, and members of local organizations, business firms, and governmental agencies are taking part in the program to locate preschool children who may be disabled.

Once a child has been located, either through a letter or phone call from the parent, guardian, or another concerned adult, the school district will set up a free screening for the child. The child will be placed in a free, special education program, if needed.

If you live within Middle Township, Avalon, or Stone Harbor Public School Districts and have or know of a child who may have a physical, learning, speaking, or emotional difficulty, who is not receiving services, please call Middle Township Public School’s Child Study Team at 463-1900 x 1209 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or write to:
