Trying to find the perfect dress can be overwhelming and incredibly exciting. There are so many to choose from it is hard to narrow down ‘the one.’ We’ve got some tips to help guide that appointment and help determine the best dress for your body type.
Ball Gown: The most noticeable thing about a ball gown is the large, full skirt and the fitted bodice. This type of dress is best for brides with a boyish figure as it adds fullness and curves to your body. This look is not recommended for the petite bride as the volume could swallow you up.
Mermaid: This dress is defined by a curve hugging skirt and flares out at the knee. The Mermaid is best for brides with an hourglass figure and want to show off their curves. This is not recommended for brides who want something more loose fitting.
A-Line: This dress is known for being in the shape of an A. An A-Line dress will flatter almost every body type.
Trumpet: This dress is known for being shaped like, you guessed it, a trumpet. It flares at the knee, much like the Mermaid. The trumpet is great for the bride who wants a formfitting dress. Avoid this dress if you are uncomfortable with flaunting your shape.
