Cape Insurance Group Continues to Expand and Insure the Shore

Lauren Deck

By Sponsored

Since opening their new office last year in Cape May Court House, the agents at Cape Insurance Group have helped coastal residents and business-owners find policy plans that fit their specialized insurance needs. The group offers a full range of personal and commercial insurance services, from flood insurance, life insurance, and financial planning to general liability, workers compensation, and business property and casualty insurance.
With over 30 years in the insurance industry, CEO Thomas Gannon has experience building knowledge, expertise, and resources insuring properties and assets in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. When his longtime Commercial Manager, Jennifer Lloyd, moved to Cape May County in 2013, the pair knew there was an opportunity to bring their personalized and consultative approach to people of the Jersey Shore. In 2018, the team officially began working out of their first location in Cape May Court House.
Since opening Cape Insurance Group, Tom and Jennifer have continued to develop personal and professional relationships to get to know their clients, expand their knowledge of the industry, and understand the nuances of the marketplace in this area. In 2017, they hired Lauren Decker, a licensed insurance specialist who has lived in the area for 15 years, to provide support for their customers and help them find the most coverage for the best price. Cape Insurance Group operates as a subsidy of Gannon Risk Group based in Philadelphia, so local clients are able to work face-to-face with local agents, while also benefitting from the experienced support staff in the Philadelphia office.
The agents at Cape Insurance Group know insurance is not one-size-fits-all, so they take time to understand their clients’ needs and ensure their insurance policies are the perfect fit. The group truly cares about the residents and business owners in this community and pride themselves on their ability to fight for their customers and get them the best policies possible. The group represents 20 different carriers and can handle everything from small risk to large risk situations, servicing everyone from beachside homes to offshore businesses and everyone in between.
What sets Cape Insurance Group apart from other companies is their ultra-responsiveness, consultative rather than transactional approach, and their ever-growing knowledge of the personal and commercial insurance industries. As the group continues to expand and “insure the shore,” they are dedicated to continue building relationships within the community and providing solutions to clients in every way possible.
Tom, Jenn, and Lauren are thankful for the community’s support and are grateful for the warm welcome to Cape May County over the past few years. The team is extremely passionate about what they do and are excited to see what the future holds in the coming years. If you are in need of advice or additional coverage, set up an appointment with Cape Insurance Group to evaluate your policies and find out what coverage is best for you!
