WILDWOOD – Despite the 45 degree water temperature, about 600 daring polar plungers took on the Atlantic Ocean behind the Wildwoods Convention center during the 4th Annual Wildwoods Polar Bear Plunge on Jan. 16.
The event benefits more than 18,000 athletes of the Special Olympics New Jersey.
For the fourth consecutive year, the New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run is sponsoring the Wildwoods’ Polar Bear Plunge. The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey is comprised of Law Enforcement officers who volunteer and are dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics.
