WOODBINE – Grace DiPompeo and Buddy Bertram of the Stone Harbor Lions Club took turns screening students at the Woodbine Elementary School recently.
According to a release, the club provides free eye screening using the Spot VS100 camera. The camera takes a picture of the child’s eye and can note whether a child is in need of further eye care.
Screening is done for children ages 2 to 6. To date, the club has screened over 700 children in seven schools.
Stone Harbor Lions have various fundraising events throughout the year with monies raised going to local charities.
Stone Harbor Lions are looking for new members who are interested in the KidSight program and other service projects that give back to the community.
