After years of receiving compliments on her home’s unique, cozy look, Nina Saffold decided to open a store to share her creative decorating ideas and style with all Cape May County homeowners. Jersey Shore Country Store opened its doors just over one year ago and has since gained a major following in loyal customers.
Jersey Shore Country Store patrons have come to know and love the quality country-style pine furnishings, home décor, candles, rugs, and lamps. But these original offerings have been joined by an array of new inventory items, nearly tripling the store’s offerings.
Nina began with a number of Amish-made pine furniture which she hand-selected directly from Amish producers. Today, her stock of furnishings has grown and she is even able to place custom orders for a particular color or finish of furniture that customers may not see in the shop. She continues to buy directly from Lancaster suppliers and can therefore keep prices reasonably low for these well-made pieces. Also a new feature since the store’s grand opening, customers can now buy the store’s hutches, benches, tables, and other furnishings unfinished for a lower price.
Most recently, Nina has added Park Design and Country House curtains to the store and has already seen great interest in the number of both country and contemporary patterns which she carries. The curtain lines are available in several cool blue tones and in the nautical theme, perfect for seaside homes. Another exciting addition, Irvin’s Tin lamps and lanterns have been big sellers at Jersey Shore Country Store. More traditional style lamps will also soon be available for purchase.
Throughout the year, the store featured seasonal and holiday related décor, allowing homeowners to celebrate with a few new touches. As Nina had planned, the store had a distinct feel and completely different shopping experience to offer as the seasons changed.
One thing that has not changed throughout the awesome evolution of Jersey Shore Country Store is the outstanding weekly specials and sales announced on the store’s Facebook page. The store’s Facebook page is also a great place to check out photos and get pricing info on the store’s newest items as they arrive.
Nina invites all loyal customers to come celebrate her first successful year and see how Jersey Shore Country Store has grown and changed since day one. Jersey Shore Country Store will host an anniversary BBQ on Friday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, and refreshments. All those who make a purchase will be entered in a drawing for gift certificates to the store and a gift basket featuring some of the store’s beautiful new additions. The drawing for winners will be held on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Stop by the store at 1300 Bayshore Road, Villas, for a great time. Call (609) 849-9287 for more information and check the Facebook for updates.
