Jersey Shore Country Store brings the Amish Country to the Shore

Dan and Nina Smith are very proud to have opened their new store, The Jersey Shore Country Store. For years, friends and family have been telling Nina her own home is so warm, cozy, and friendly, and recommending that she open a store featuring her creative ideas and country décor, and share her love of country with Cape May County. This past winter Nina and Dan decided that they were ready to embark on a new venture, and the Jersey Shore Country Store went from a being dream to a reality. After months of remodeling and fixing up their space, Nina met with country store owners outside the area, and made a few trips to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she made a number of important contacts. There are all kinds of “country” looks out there, but Nina’s favorite is the Primitive Amish style country furniture and decor. Amish furniture is always sturdy, practical, and well-made. Since Nina purchases her furniture directly from the Amish, she is able to keep her prices affordable and, of course, the furniture is made in the USA. Nina is also always on the lookout for that special primitive antique piece that just needs the right customer to come in and love it.
Jersey Shore Country Store offers affordable, quality, Amish pine furniture which includes benches, hutches, book shelves, and much more. They also take special orders for items not currently in stock. Jersey Shore specializes in Primitive home décor, but their outstanding selection of beautiful items offers something for everyone whether you like country or not. Some of their more unique items include candles, potpourri, braided carpets, rag dolls, swans and florals. Nina also brings country to the outside of your home by offering flags, birdhouses, barn stars, and other yard adornments.
Nina and Dan have great plans for the shop which include keeping it seasonally relevant. “Every season will have a distinct feel and offer unique items appropriate for the time of year,” explains Nina. She is especially looking forward to the fall and winter seasons because at that time she plans to offer a great section of affordable craft items and beautiful Christmas gifts. She also plans to offer outstanding weekly sales and recommends people follow her on Facebook and keep reading the Herald Newspaper for sale and clearance updates.
On Saturday June 15th, the Jersey Shore Country Store will be hosting an Open House for the public from 11am to 4pm. Come out and enjoy a free sandwich with soda. Walk around the store and get a feeling for what country is really all about. There will be give-a-ways and a drawing held at 4pm. Stop by the store at 1300 Bayshore Road, Villas for a great time. Call 609-849-9287 if you have any questions.
