All who appreciate the benefits of the Boy Scouts of America programs are invited to support scouting in Cape May County at the 14th Annual Distinguished Citizens Reception which will be held Oct. 22 at the Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood. The events begin at 5:30 p.m., with a reception followed by dinner and awards presentation at 6:30 p.m.
The “Good Scout” Statue is presented to community leaders who exemplify the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America, as expressed in the Scout Law and Oath.
Patrick Healey and Eustace Mita have been selected as this year’s honorees for outstanding service to the community. The dedication, interest, and leadership they have provided to many worthwhile organizations and the respect and esteem in which they are regarded by their family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors throughout Cape May County.
Honoree Patrick Healey, president and CEO of Viking Yachts, has been a leader and innovator in Cape May County, investing his time, talents, and treasures over many years – making a real difference in the community.
Honoree Eustace Mita, chairman and CEO of ICONA Resorts has been and continues to expand in Cape May County. Both Honorees continue to give back to their communities by giving their time and talents. What an awesome way to promote character building, leadership skills and service to others throughout their community as they are setting an example for our youth – helping today’s youth become our future leaders. The Garden State Council is both proud and honored to be presenting the “Good Scout” Award to the 2019 Cape May County Honorees Oct. 22.
