OCEAN CITY – In his spare time, Ocean City Home Bank employee Paul Bossi trains to become a volunteer firefighter and participates in fundraisers to help the families of firefighters killed in the line of duty. The bank has recognized his efforts by naming him Volunteer of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2015.
“Paul is working to honor the heroes who make the ultimate sacrifice, while training to become a firefighter himself,” said Steven Brady, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ocean City Home Bank. “His dedication and selflessness are truly admirable.”
A resident of Vineland and teller at the bank’s Mays Landing branch, Paul is currently completing a training program at the Ronald D. Martinelli Fire and Rescue Training Center in Rosenhayn, New Jersey. When he completes the program, which requires more 200 hours of work, Paul will serve as a volunteer firefighter for the City of Vineland. “I want to help serve the community which has raised me,” he said. Paul has also participated in the Bridgeton Fire Department’s 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to raise funds for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
As Ocean City Home Bank’s Volunteer of the Quarter, Paul will receive a cash prize, two extra hours of personal time and a donation to the charity of his choice, which is the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
