AVALON — These are those storied “golden days” of autumn in Cape May County when weather remains balmy and summer’s crowds decrease. Monarch butterflies are making their seemingly leisure trek to the warmer South along the coast’s sand dunes and gardens.
Some enjoy kayaking, as did the couple in the front image. Others simply like to walk along Avalon’s boardwalk, breathing in the salt air, and watching the breakers roll shoreward.
This weekend offers many attractions, including monster trucks on the Wildwood beach, the Hydrofest, with power boat racing throughout the weekend on Sunset Lake in Wildwood Crest, an Italian Festival in Wildwood, a health fair in Woodbine Elementary School on Saturday morning, with a mobile mammogram van set to attend.
For more details on event, see this week’s On Deck publication or visit it on-line on this Web site.
