Dollard Plans Grand Re-opening

Dollard Baker Sew Vac has been in business selling great sewing machines since 1921.
The history of Dollard Baker is rich, and when talking to either Gary McGhee or John Dollard, you get a sense that they know the importance of maintaining a solid reputation and offering outstanding customer service.
When they first opened, Dollard’s grandfather sold Treadle Sewing Machines. They transported the machines to people’s homes, and collected a dollar a week until the machine was paid off. In a way, they were one of the first “Rent Centers.”
In fact, Dollard believes that’s the biggest difference between their store and today’s big box stores — service and product knowledge.
“Most of the employees in those big box stores do not know the difference between one machine and another,” he explained.
On August 18, Dollard and McGhee are planning a Grand Re-Opening celebrating the return of Janome to Cape May County and their new and improved sewing room.
John Ryan from Janome, will be at the Grand Opening and available to answer questions and do demonstrations on the newest Janome machines.
Dollard and McGhee have also arranged for there to be refreshments, food, raffles, gift baskets, and more amazing deals and specials. In fact, the Babylock entry level sewing machine which is currently listed for $199 will be on sale that day for only $99 while supplies last.
Also available throughout the day will be 10 to 30 percent off other items in the store including accessories, threads, notions, and parts.
