Left to right: Commissioner Pete Byron

By Press Release

WILDWOOD – City Commissioners honored Wildwood Beach Patrol Chief Steven Stocks for his 30 years of service to Wildwood and to the people who enjoy its wide, sandy beaches and pristine ocean.
During the Aug. 12 Board of Commissioners meeting, Stocks was called before a room filled with residents and co-workers to receive a plaque from the city.
“Chief Stocks does an extraordinary job,” said Commissioner for Public Safety Tony Leonetti. “He keeps the department humming. He has the respect of the lifeguards and with that comes their willingness to be the best. We have safest and best beaches. Chief Stocks and the Wildwood Beach Patrol are second to none.”
In thanking commissioners, Stocks said he wanted to take the opportunity to thank the beach patrol’s “partners in safety, the Wildwood Fire Department and Wildwood Police Department, who also do an outstanding job.”
