Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Awards Scholarships to Culinary and Hospitality Students at Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Celebration

MAYS LANDING — The Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Celebration held Friday, Nov. 20, welcomed 140 attendants to the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, where they dined on authentic French country food and desserts prepared and served by ACA students, as well as sampled fine wine, including Beaujolais Nouveau.
During the celebration, the Atlantic City chapter of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs awarded four $2,500 scholarships to culinary students, and two $500 scholarships to hospitality students. Scholarship recipients are Matthew Hennessey of Buena; Gabrielle Sceia of Hammonton; Xiaochaun Wu of Galloway; Amanda Giamporcaro of Blue Anchor; Brittany Lane of Marmora; and Sevil Nimetullaieva of Atlantic City. The award also included membership into the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
Proceeds raised at the event support scholarships for culinary and hospitality students at Atlantic Cape Community College. Past events have raised more than $75,000 in scholarships.
