By Press Release

The Wildwood Business Improvement District (WBID) is proud to announce that Byrne Plaza has won the 2018 Downtown New Jersey Excellence Award for Excellence in Placemaking in the Built Projects category.
Each year, Downtown New Jersey recognizes New Jersey’s best downtown projects and programs completed within the last two years. Winning submissions are considered models worthy of emulation. Byrne Plaza was recognized as a best Built Project, based on the project’s excellence in placemaking.
The new 60,000-square-foot Byrne Plaza, located in the heart of Downtown Wildwood at Pacific and Oak avenues, features outdoor events and attractions with an event schedule that includes a festive atmosphere for the whole family.
Members of the WBID Executive Board attended the Downtown New Jersey Conference in Jersey City on Nov. 2 to share ideas and accept this prestigious award. Additionally, WBID was recognized at the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce 80th Installation Dinner on Sept. 27 with the Community Commitment Award for the events being hosted at Byrne Plaza.
