When the Avalon Lions Club sees a need or hears a call for help they try to answer that call as soon as possible. They proved it this month when Lazarus House Food Pantry in Wildwood put out an urgent cry for donations of food or monetary donations. The Avalon Lions moved their calendar up a few months, making their annual donation that they usually make in April now rather than later. The check for six thousand dollars was presented to the organization’s president, Frank Stone, to keep the shelves stocked during this slow time of the year at the Jersey Shore. The Lazarus House in one of more than a dozen Cape May County charities supported by the Lions.
