Avalon Lions Donate to Diller Home for Blind Children

Members of the Avalon Lions Club present the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home For Blind Children with a check of $30

The Avalon Lions Club held their August barbecue on the grounds of the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home For Blind Children.
The home hosts 160 blind and visually handicapped children for a paid week-long vacation, at the home on 26th Street in Avalon.
After the barbecue, the club presented a check for $30,000 to the home from the proceeds of their annual golf tournament held in June.
The Avalon Lions support more than a dozen charities in Cape May County, including Holy Redeemer Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Family Promise.
