Beacon Animal Rescue Seeks Computer-Savvy Volunteers During Winter Months

By Press Release

UPPER TOWNSHIP — Beacon Animal Rescue, a no-kill rescue located at 701 Butter Road in the Palermo section of Upper Township, needs several computer-savvy volunteers to handle office tasks, including data entry, creating reports, filing, printing and emailing. The need is especially critical in the winter months because many volunteers leave the area during the winter.
Volunteers are also needed for early morning kennel and cat room cleaning, caring for cats at Beacon’s adoption center at the Somers Point PetSmart store, and afternoon dog walking. Additionally, volunteers can assist with laundry, groundskeeping and maintenance tasks.
If interested, please complete a volunteer application at www.beaconanimalrescue.org and the volunteer coordinator will be in touch.
In 2016, Beacon placed 167 dogs and 124 cats into permanent homes.
