Beacon Animal Rescue Seeks Additional Year-Round Volunteers

UPPER TOWNSHIP — Beacon Animal Rescue, a no-kill Rescue located on Butter Road in Upper Township, is seeking additional volunteers after Labor Day. Especially needed in the Fall are: dog walkers who can commit to a specific day and time, kennel cleaners from 8 – 10 a.m., cat room cleaners from 8 – 11 a.m., and volunteers to staff various shifts at the Beacon cat adoption center in the Somers Point PetSmart store.
Please complete a volunteer application online at beaconanimalrescue.org or stop by the Rescue during public hours, Tues. through Fri. 2 – 5 p.m. and Sat. and Sun. 12 – 3 p.m., and complete a paper application.
In 2016, Beacon placed 167 dogs and 124 cats into permanent homes.
