AVALON — The top-rated Avalon Free Public Library is opening its doors for a day of fun, games and entertainment on Sat., June 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adults and children of all ages are welcome to “Check It Out” as the library showcases some of its popular online resources, programs, events and activities.
Children will enjoy a wide variety of activities including a special story time with Belle from Beauty and the Beast at 10:30 a.m., plus a bounce house, face painting, caricature artist, video games, crafts, games and much more. Adults and children alike will enjoy the hands-on demonstrations of popular resources including 3D art printing, Hoopla, Freegal, Flipster, OverDrive, Mango Languages and more.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided, and newly registered patrons will be awarded with a gift bag and a chance to win an iPad Air!
The Avalon Free Public Library is open year-round and hosts a variety of children’s activities, educational programs and online resources, as well as offering more than 60,000 books and e-books in circulation.
