AVALON – The Avalon Civic Club will present a program entitled “Making the Right Food Choices” July 27. The speaker will be Margaret Monge, a Registered Dietician and Certified Diabetes Educator at Cape Regional Medical Center. Monge, a lively and informative speaker, will discuss the challenge of selecting healthy foods and provide suggestions about how to eat better every day.
The meeting will begin at 12:30 at the Avalon Community Center, 30th Street and Avalon Avenue. All are welcome and refreshments will be served.
The Civic Club is also looking forward to its Aug. 24 meeting when South Jersey’s favorite weatherman, Dan Skelton, will be its speaker.
