Atlantic Cape Archers Dominate at Indoor Tournament

MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College archers won top spots in the New Jersey State Collegiate Championships Feb. 14. Five colleges competed in the tournament, hosted at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus, including Princeton University, Rowan University, Stevens Institute of Technology and Rockland Honors College.

Steve Church (Cape May) – 3rd
Female Compound:
Christina Papaycik (Egg Harbor Township) – 2nd

Rosie Williams (Petersburg) – 4th
Dianna Torres (Mays Landing) – 6th
Female Bowhunter:
Lorena Koidl (Mays Landing) – 1st
Male Recurve:
Andrew Ciurcak (Woodbine) – 3rd
Nick Derr (Vineland) – 4th
Shawn Garrone (Egg Harbor Township) – 6th
Jacob Verret (Absecon) – 8th
Phil Holmer (Northfield) – 11th

Hillary Paladini (Mays Landing) – 1st

Atlantic Cape’s archery team competes Feb. 20-21 at the Pennsylvania State Indoor Championships. Members will also compete in the United States National Indoor Championships in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Feb. 27-28.
