American Cancer Society Announces Real Men Wear Pink of South Jersey

Real Men Wear Pink candidates from Caesars Entertainment.

By Press Release

This month, South Jersey leaders will unite in style to fight breast cancer with the American Cancer Society through participation in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign.

Throughout the month of October, Real Men Wear Pink participants agree to raise awareness, wear something pink every day and encourage community members to take action. Each Real Man has set a fundraising goal of $2,500 or more.

In addition to raising awareness, the men are competing to be the top fundraiser among their peers by the end of the campaign. So far, this year’s impressive slate of Jersey Real Men includes:

  • Dr. Mitchell Brezel, Atlantic Medical Imaging
  • Niel Cafone, Caesers Entertainment
  • Bill Carey, Caesers Entertainment
  • Dr. David Cho, Cape Regional Medical Center
  • Bill Fritz, Caesers Entertainment
  • Bobby Kahler, Caesers Entertainment
  • Dr. David Kenny, Atlantic Medical Imaging
  • Anthony Maher, Caesers Entertainment
  • Dr. Jonathan Pack, Atlantic Medical Imaging
  • Mike Peoples, NovaCare Rehabilitation
  • Nor’easter Nick Pittman, SNJ Today
  • Keith Purnell, Caesers Entertainment
  • Tony Rodio, Tropicana Entertainment
  • Austin Samselski, Middle Township Middle School
  • Charles Wimberg, Atlantic City Electric

“In addition to wearing pink and raising awareness, these men are genuinely interested in helping us fund breakthrough innovative research, advocacy and early detection programs. They are helping us attack cancer from every angle, with access to care and support programs that benefit women, men and families affected by the disease,” said Alex Basseches, senior manager of community development.

In 2017, the Real Men Wear Pink project raised $6.5 million nationwide. To donate or follow the candidates’ progress, go to www.RealMenWearPinkACS.org/OceanCityNJ.  For more information or help any time of the day or night, call 1-800-227-2345.
