Access to Art, a N.J. not-for-profit, will go down to the sea in ships on the Ms. Avalon again this year.
Access to Art will move the date of their fundraising sunset cruise from Aug. 6 to Aug. l2 for their second annual cruise event to benefit the arts.
“It’s a smooth ride in the back bays with a gorgeous sunset,” said Barbara Beitel.
The event will have Lisa Di Bruno, disc jockey on the upper level of the boat, and Bart Singer, singing some Irish love songs, ballads, and sonnets below.
There will be hors d’oeuvres of a Caribbean variety, plus wine and beer.
The event benefits the Sam Maitin summer chamber music festival, which will continue in Sept. with two major concerts featuring the Mondrian Ensemble, Sept. 12, and Alexander Markov, violinist, on Sept. 19.
Tickets for the boat ride, complete with food, wine, and song are $50 per person. The Ms. Avalon leaves the docks at 7 p.m. sharp, and loads at 6:30 p.m., returning at 8:30 p.m.
The dock landing is Ocean Drive and l4th St., and there is plenty of free parking at the dock.
Tickets include food, beverages, and entertainment.
